All residents of Edgecombe County who have been diagnosed with cancer and who are actively being treated are eligible for gift consideration. Along with the application, a Physician Certification Form will need to be completed and submitted to the Foundation to help determine eligibility. The Foundation will gift up to $1,000, as long as funds are available, directly to the applicant. The money can be used for the purpose of offsetting indirect medical costs due to cancer or any expenses incurred while seeking medical care. Examples include gasoline, food, electric, heating, or any expense due to the diagnosis of cancer.
